James Auna receives endorsement to run for the position of LC5 chairperson

Over 50 individuals endorsed Honorable James Auna on 28th.Nov.2024 supporting his candidacy for district chairperson in the upcoming 2026 elections.

 This endorsement was prompted by a request from the Amolatar community, which expressed that the void left by Geoffrey Ocen Kiring is significant and can only be filled by James Auna.

Denish Okello from Agwingiri remarked that Auna has a long history of leadership, beginning in Lira before Amolatar was established as a separate district.

Okello emphasized that Auna has performed his duties exceptionally well and is the most qualified candidate to address the current gap.

Bonny Odongo from Nalibwoyo stated that after consultations, the Nalibwoyo community has urged James Auna to take on this role.

 Betty Silus noted that some individuals have served for ten years without making a meaningful impact, and the community is prepared to support James Auna in his bid.

Muge Nelson from Amolatar Town Council mentioned that after thorough investigation, it was determined that Auna is the only candidate capable of serving the district diligently compared to others. Meanwhile, Hallan Obua confirmed their readiness to vote for Honorable James Auna.

In response to the numerous appeals, Honorable James Auna has accepted the community’s request and confirmed his intention to contest for the position of district chairperson in Amolatar for the 2026 elections. Auna, who previously served as a district councilor from Lira, is confident that the skills he has acquired over the years will enable him to lead the district effectively
