The district chairperson of Amolatar has announced that the Ministry of Tourism has officially recognized the Dokolo-Namasale road as a priority for improvement.
This confirmation was made by Ocen during a press briefing at the district headquarters today.
Ocen also expressed his disapproval of proposals to relocate Uganda’s center from Olyaka in Namasale to Nakasongola district.
Regarding the state of the roads, he noted that many in Amolatar have been affected by flooding, complicating maintenance efforts.
During the press briefing, Ocen highlighted several accomplishments from his three-year tenure, as well as the challenges he has encountered, including political conflicts.
He acknowledged the support from the resident district commissioner, Dr. Agnes Atim Apeaa, the woman MP for Amolatar, and Kioga County MP Junior Moses Okot Betek, emphasizing their positive contributions to the district’s development.
Regarding the education sector, Ocen reported an increase in funding compared to the previous year.
