
Mr. Okodo has invested over 10 million in the Uhuru Cap Tournament taking place in the Kyoga North Constituency.
Sponsored by Mr. Okodo Peter, the owner of Jerusalem School of Nursing and Midwifery, the tournament commenced, September 10, 2024, featuring a match between Etam Town Council and Awelo Sub County.
The game concluded with a score of 1-0 in favor of Etam Town Council, attracting numerous spectators from various parts of the Kyoga North Constituency.
During interactions with players and attendees, Mr. Okodo Peter, who has expressed interest in the parliamentary seat for Kyoga North Constituency, encouraged to engage in a spirit of unity to foster significant development.
He also urged them to combat the common adversary of poverty.
In a related note, Inspector Abalo Jane, Officer in Charge of Agoga Police Post, advised both spectators and players to avoid unsportsmanlike conduct.
She emphasized the importance of maintaining peace throughout the tournament and requested that the school facilities be left clean after use.
Additionally, Aboko Moses, a member of the organizing committee, appealed to Hon. Okodo for assistance in constructing a toilet at the school, which has become a central hub for activities in Kyoga North Constituency.
According to Aboko, each sub-county that performs well will receive new uniforms, with the first runner-up awarded 1.5 million, the second place receiving 1 million, and the third place receiving uniforms along with a monetary prize.
