
A hailstorm has caused significant destruction to numerous residences in Amolatar town.
The rainfall, which commenced at 3:45 PM today, resulted in several homes being severely impacted, leaving the community in shock as large hailstones battered the area, leading to extensive damage.
Residents recounted the scene as tumultuous, characterized by the loud sounds of hail striking rooftops.
Many houses reported shattered windows, while roofs sustained dents and other forms of damage.
Among the institutions affected are Storm Nursery and Primary School, which suffered due to the severe weather.
Additionally, PAG Town Church and the United Apostolic Church were impacted, along with the former Electoral Commission office, where the wind dislodged the roof and deposited it onto the property of a businessman named Alifayo.
The wind also removed the roof from the residence of Vicky, the daughter of Yeko Odongo Ebong, leaving the tenants in distress.
Furthermore, the roof of the Agro input shop was also blown off by the strong winds.
