Mrs. Awongo highlighted that there are currently 248 outstanding data cards, which are scheduled for retrieval next week. This effort aims to ensure that the remaining beneficiaries receive their rightful entitlements promptly. She explained that delays in the process have primarily resulted from the necessity of obtaining approvals from seven different categories of individuals, leading to slow stamping of signatures.

The Acting Assistant Principal Secretary reassured the public that the 248 finalized data cards are now under verification to confirm their accuracy.

The initial distribution focused on elderly individuals, reflecting the government’s commitment to prioritizing vulnerable populations.

Mrs. Awongo encouraged those who have not yet received their data cards to remain patient, assuring them that issues will be addressed in accordance with the directives from the Government of Uganda. She emphasized that once the outstanding cards are returned next week, new ones will also be issued to ensure comprehensive coverage of all beneficiaries.

In conclusion, Mrs. Awongo’s commitment to resolving these matters reflects the government’s dedication to supporting war claimants and ensuring that all eligible individuals receive their entitlements in a timely manner. Further updates will follow as the situation progresses.
