In a shocking turn of events, the Kole Police Criminal Investigations Department (CPS) has apprehended a 20-year-old individual linked to the murder of Mu-ca Dan, a student from Otino Wa Primary School. The community of Kole district is grappling with grief and disbelief following this tragic incident.

Chairman of Ayer LC3, Bosco Okori, conveyed his deep concern over the alarming violence that led to the death of the young boy. The lifeless body of Mu-ca Dan was discovered early in the morning, showing signs of severe injury, including a broken leg.

According to Okori, it appears that the victim had suffered an assault the previous night and was left abandoned by the roadside near Pida Amola.

Witnesses reported that when locals found Dan, he was still clinging to life. Immediate action was taken as they alerted the police; however, by the time law enforcement arrived at the scene, the precious young life had tragically slipped away due to his injuries.

Okori highlighted the swift response from the Kole CPS, noting that officers promptly visited the scene to gather testimonies from local residents.

This investigation led to the arrest of the victim’s friend, identified as Can-Ogura, who is now assisting police with further inquiries.

Expressing optimism, Okori stated, “We hope the police will uncover the truth and bring all those responsible for this heinous act to justice.” He lamented the disturbing trend of violence against children in the area, emphasizing the need for community vigilance and support for one another during such difficult times.

The deceased, who belonged to the Mwa Otira Tok clan, has been transported to the Lira regional referral mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

As the community mourns, the call for justice grows louder, reflecting a collective desire for safety and an end to the violence that plagues their neighborhood.
