SSP Christopher Katumba, the District Police Commander of Amolatar Central Police Station, has issued a warning to business owners in Amolatar to consider installing security lights on their premises as the festive season approaches.
According to the DPC, this measure is intended to enhance safety and reduce the risk of theft and break-ins during the night.
He recommended that at least two areas of each building be equipped with security lighting.
In a related development, Mr. Odongo Sam, the chairperson of the Amolatar business community, expressed his support for the DPC’s initiative, noting that darkness is often a significant factor contributing to theft.
He urged fellow business owners to adopt the practice of installing security lights.
