A Police officer identified as Cpl Anywar David aged 35 yrs old attached to Amolatar police station was involved in an accident that claimed his life from Amolatar Town Council on the 1st October 2024 at around 0830 hours
According to the statement issued by PRO-North Kyoga Sp Patrick Jimmy Okema ,It’s alleged that motorcycle Reg No UGB 204A being ridden by one identified as Okot aged 25yrs old,a boda boda ridder at Alemere stage was from Amolatar heading to Namasale direction, on reaching at Amolatar Health center IV, he knocked NO 50061 CPL Anywar David a police officer attached to Amolatar CPS who was from Amolatar Town heading back to the station, he sustained serious injuries and confirmed dead on arrival to Amolatar Health Center IV.
“Scene of crime was visited by District Police Commander (DPC) Amolatar Cps and traffic team. Body conveyed to Amolatar Health Center IV mortuary pending postmortem,” he said.

Motorcycle recovered from the home of area chairperson Alemere Town Council and taken to police pending IOV inspection.
Okema attributed the CAUSED OF ACCIDENT identified as reckless ridding by over speeding.
‘Our condolences to the family of late CPL Anywar David, the rider is still admitted in the same facility receiving treatment, he will be charged accordingly if he gets better’. Okema added, as investigation goes on.
According to the North Kyoga Regional Police report, within a period of three months, that is May, June and July, a total of 45 accident cases have been registered in the region.
Out of this, 16 were fatal, 21 serious and 8 minor.
