38-Year-Old Woman Brutally Killed In Suspected Domestic Violence

LIRA: A 38-Year- Old woman, a resident of Adyel Village, Onyakedi Ward, Amach Town Council in Lira District, on 1st.Dec.2024 Sunday found dead in her hut.

The deceased identified as Judith Apio from Ober Pala clan is reported to have had some misunderstanding with his unidentified boyfriend the previous day.

According to Peter Obot, the area LC one Chairperson, the deceased had unusally delayed to come out of her hut in the morning when her younger sister identified only as Polly decided to check on her at about 9:00am only to find her lying dead on her bed.

She made an alarm that attracted the neighbours.

Obot said they found her body had cuts on the head, hand and private part raising suspicions that she was brutally murdered by an unknown assailant.

They reported the matter to Amach Police Station, who visited the scene and recorded statements before taking the body to Lira Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for Postmortem.

She survived with one child, aged 8 years old.
