By A 22-year-old man has been apprehended for possessing military items. Authorities at the Adeknino police post in Dokolo District are currently holding a resident of Regorego village, following his arrest for having military property.
According to Officer Olwit Joseph, who oversees the Adeknino police post, Ogwal Gerald Ecir Walter and Omara Jaspher allegedly broke into the residence of Ogwang Lawrence, where they stole a UPDF shirt and jacket.
An investigation led to the arrest of Ogwal, while his two accomplices remain at large.
The incident, which occurred on November 30, 2024, was reported to the police by Ogwang Lawrence, under reference number SD 05/01/12/2024.
Officer Olwit confirmed that Ogwal has been transferred to Dokolo Central Police Station following his arrest.
It is noteworthy that the suspect had recently been released from prison for a previous theft charge.
